Master student (f/m/d) – CRC 1187 | B04 “Digital publics and Social Transformation

We are looking for a Master student in Social and Cultural Anthropology, who is interested in developing their Master thesis on memory practices between Spain and Morocco, with ethnographic research based in Madrid. The Master student will also be appointed as a student assistant (ca. 10h/week)

The MA research project and student assistantship will be part of the ongoing research project on the Moroccan Rif, led and conducted by Prof. Dr. Martin Zillinger and Dr. Nina ter Laan (University of Cologne). This project is incorporated in a broader interdisciplinary research collaboration between Cultural Anthropology at the University of Cologne and Socio-informatics at the University of Siegen, entitled  "Digital publics and Social Transformation in the Maghreb.” This program is embedded within the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1187 “Media of Cooperation” based at the University of Siegen, and is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
