Anna Lisa Ramella studied Spanish and Italian Philology and Literary Studies (B.A.) in Berlin and Madrid as well as Transcultural Studies (M.A.) in Bremen. Her dissertation "Steady Rollin': The music tour between movement and stabilization" at the DFG-funded postgraduate research group Locating Media at the University of Siegen examined the mobility of musicians with media ethnographic and audiovisual methods. Her filmic works include the interactive website "La Vie du Rail - a railway line in Mali as transitory space", the video installation "Circulating objects: four stories about bocios" for the Ethnological Museum Berlin as well as the two-channel video "Rhythms of Attunement" on the rhythms of touring.
